1. Analysis of deformation causes of TPE/TPR soft rubber products
(1) The use deformation caused by TPE/TPR material problems, such as insufficient melt strength of TPE/TPR material, such as tensile strength, flexural flexibility, resilience, and resistance to permanent deformation, cannot meet the requirements of product use, resulting in irreparable deformation of the product due to external forces during use.
(2) The deformation of the product during the processing, TPE/TPR is a soft plastic. During injection molding, extrusion, and other processing processes, the product may be forced out of the mold due to insufficient cooling, resulting in tensile deformation of the product.
(3) Due to improper storage, some TPE/TPR products, especially those made of TPE/TPR materials with relatively soft hardness (0-50A), undergo irreversible extrusion deformation due to the stacking and storage of products.
(4) Product adhesion and deformation, some TPE/TPR products, due to some sticking on the surface of TPE/TPR (especially in summer) and improper storage, cause the products to stick together, difficult to separate, forced to open, and easy to deform. Strictly speaking, this is another problem category, but adhesion of materials or products may indeed cause deformation of the product.
2. Corresponding solutions
(1) Deformation caused by material issues. We should improve the melt strength of the material, starting from the substrate SEBS and SBS, and consider the proportion of other components!
(2) Processing deformation. Attention should be paid to mold cooling and demolding to reduce product deformation.
(3) Storage deformation. Try not to pile too high or too much pressure.
(4) Adhesion and deformation. The adjustment of TPE/TPR formula is a drastic approach. The expedient is to store the product surface in isolation with a layer of paper or film, without direct contact.
